IKEA: Crossing Homes
IKEA helps Animal Crossing players bring their virtual dream pads to life.
This came out a few months after our project went live. You know what they say, c’est la vie.
In-Game Event Introduction
Animal Crossing players will be greeted by Isabelle with an invitation to our event.
In-Game Event
Players will head to Harv’s Island to participate and create their own room designs.
Sponsored ads on Pinterest will let Animal Crossing players know about the upcoming in-game event.
Twitter Submission
After completing their rooms, players can share their designs on Twitter, where the best will be made into real furniture sets, sold by IKEA.
In-Game Reward
Players will also receive a reward for participating: their very own IKEA uniform.
IKEA Catalog
Players’ designs will be featured in IKEA’s catalog.
IKEA Showrooms
Showrooms will have a villager-style makeover, showcasing participants’ designs.
